My trip to Jamaica

Traveled to Jamaica during my birthday, August 12, 1997. This was the first time I had traveled so far from home by myself. It was a great experience. The people were very nice to me. I met different people of different nationallties.

I stayed at Runaway Breezes Resort and it was great. They served food 24 hours a day. I tried some of the Jamaican food which was good. I'm a picky eater, but I enjoyed the food. The entertainment was awesome. There was something going on everyday, morning until the last person went to bed.

I went on several tours which I really did enjoy. I had a chance to see more of Jamaica. I also climbed Dunn's River Falls. It was irie.(great)

Everyone who visists Jamaica should climb the falls.

Hopefully I will be going back next year. Air Jamaica gave me a round-trip ticket to fly Air Jamaica because my flight was held over. Lucky me. As the Jamaican says No Problem.

Jamaica Trip Report - Road Trip To Negril To say that the last 2 weeks have been stressful is an understatement. So, not one to wallow in unhappiness and stress and strain, I hastily planned a weekend doing some of the things I enjoy best! The yells of joy when I informed Little Master and Miss World confirmed that I had made the right decision. ROAD TRIP! I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service provided to us by the Air Jamaica/Caribbean Airlines representatives who greeted us at the ticket counter, at the gate and on the plane. Jamaica Trip Report - Not sure what to call it..a quickie I'm doing this first part live from the veranda at the Wexford in Montego Bay....All of this talk about Jamaica and tourism gave me a JOnes that I could not fill, so I had two days with nothing to do and wanted to see what it was like to fly over for one day and come right back.

Am in Jamaica (Negril) and having an amazing time....right now it is pissing down - or raining heavily, in normal parlance....and was checking my email, so now I'm kinda hanging out at the internet cafe, waiting for the rain to ease before moving on. I am on the cliffs and am walking down, hmm, may end up jumping in a taxi....Last night went to a place in the country near here, where they had a sound system, speakers hanging in the trees, blasting out reggae, it was great.

Jamaica Trip Report - Feeling De Evening Breeze & More Another year, another mission trip. July 11th was circled on our calendars from the start of the year, and after months of planning and putting things together, the day had finally arrived. The group of six was extremely excited because without much deliberation we have agreed to bypass the "tourist" stuff we usually do in the days and use the time for mission purposes. We agreed that we would hold 4 days - Monday to Thursday - of Vacation Bible School (VBS), this in addition to nightly pre-service ministry meetings for women and five nights of services. We had a packed agenda. I would be on the island for 12 days; a week in St. Bess and the rest of the time primarily in Kingston.

Jamaica Trip Report - Here and There in Kingston Town As is customary, there was very little sleep the night before I left. Airport check-in was a breeze. I saw familiar faces at the check-in desk. They announce a full flight and begin the boarding process. Everyone was on board, so we left 20 minutes early!!!!
